Written by Kenneth L. Bird, the book explores the development of the narrow gauge Sedalia, Warsaw and Southern Railway and its affect on Benton and Pettis counties in Missouri. This paper back book has 135 pages, with 103 photos and maps, that detail the construction and operation of the railroad from 1880 to its demise in 1946. The detailed appendix also includes a section on modeling the railroad.
